Commodity Buyer

Functions:

• Monitoring procurement markets, informing commodity managers about the relevant trends and developments.
• Design and implement commodity purchasing strategies for the suppliers.
• Negotiate with suppliers (new business decisions, annual prices, and savings) in agreement with the commodity manager.
• Conduct and analyze the requested offer in agreement with the commodity manager.
• Perform cost analysis activities.
• Contract management, including maintenance of contracts.
• Troubleshooting (support time-critical and technical requests/requirements).
• Execute actions in commodity area, reporting, and performance measurement.

Requirements:

• Degree in ADE or similar, Mechanical Industrial Engineering or similar.
• Accurate numerical skills, ability to use them for negotiation at macro and micro levels with a focus on problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written).
• Familiarity with purchasing tools and processes.
• Ability to forecast purchasing based on maximum 2-year manufacturing forecasts.
• Strong cost and quality awareness and technical knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, flexible attitude, structured thinking, and a resilient mindset with multi-tasking capabilities.
• Good English level.
