On the 31st December 2022, Rockwell informed about the end of the lifecycle for all material regarding series Kinetix 2000. Therefore replacement parts will no longer be available under request.

Even though the technolocy used for the communications protocol within these drivers (Optic Fiber SERCOS Technology) is still valid and useful, there are no components in the market that may be controlled with this communication protocol anymore.

Dara Pharma seeking to fulfill our compromiso with our customers, trying to bringa ll of them the necessary upgrades, have been working during some time with this scenario, where we can present a technology advancement to last generation (2023), compatible in the greatest way with the current one installed in our equipment. This will reduce significantly both timewise and economically, the impact to migrate to these new components.

Therefore, we present to you the generation component upgrade needed (Hardware and Software) for any DARA Pharma machine with this technology.

This upgrade consists on:

PLC Communication Drivers HMI
Contrologix L8XE
  • PLC upgrade to 2023 technology (contrologix L8XE or similar) (to be selected according to machine specifications)
  • Higher speed of data processing
  • Increase in storage memory (possibility of hosting many more recipes)
Switch gestionable
  • Communication isolation from the internal network within the machine and towards the customer network, with a manageable switch
  • Possibility of remote connection using an own VPN
Kinetix 5300
  • Driver upgrade to 2023 technology (Series Kinetix 5300)
  • Motorization may be kept “as-is” for current machine installation (economical savings)
Nueva Pantalla APC3100
  • New PC + HMI:
    • New DARA 2023 interface
    • Higher information processing speed.APC3100 system unit - Intel Core i7 7600U 2.8 GHz - Dual core
    • Higher resolution and enlargement of screen (18.5” size)

      • Remote connection through VNC or equivalent
